Historical Detail -1894-1950. Started by Ferdinand August Buescher who worked by Conn-Dupont from the age of 15. May have made the first Saxophone in the U.S. 1894 as Buescher Manufacturing Co, 1904 as Buescher Band instrument Co. 1928 purchased by Elkhart Band Instrument Co. They sucessfully competed with Conn and had a well known scandal but did share parts and designs.
