Historical Detail - Couesnon operated in Paris 1882 to 1950. Established by Amedee Auguste Couesnon son in law of Gautrot, took over his business in 1883 as Couesnon, Gautrot et Cie. By 1911 had a workforce of 1000 at eight factories and at this point was the largest musical instrument maker in the world.
