Historical Detail - Distin operated in London 1859- 1868New York 1877 to 1882 and Philadelphia 1882 to 1890 and Williamsport PA 1886 to 1909. He sold his firm in 1868 to Boosey for 9700 English Pounds with an agreement not to operate within 100 miles of London. During the 1880s he was associated with Slater and Pepper. Established Henry Distin Mfg. in 1886.
