Historical Detail - The lead pipe goes into the 2nd valve. Established by Charles Gerard Conn, invented a rubber rim mouthpiece in 1874 and in 1876 established Dupont-Conn. By 1879 known as C. G. Conn & Co and bought Fiske in 1887 and operated this Worcester MA plant until 1898. In 1917 had a work force of 550 and an output of 2500 instruments per month..
